News From TRACY!

Tracy had some time to call home on Friday. She bought a 10 minute phone card and called her parents while we were all at the Allendale parade (a birthday tradition for tracy). Reg and Jerene put her on speaker phone and we all sang happy birthday to her (also a tradition, but this year we were unable to see her embarassed face :) It sounded like they were trying to make the day special for her. They wrote happy birthday in glow sticks and when she woke up in the morning, it was still dark so she could see it. She also recieved a mud cake with flowers in it. Tracy is still having problems adjusting to the nigerian food. She said she has lost quite a bit of weight, but now they are staying at a place where the cook will personally take orders and cook for them. It was so nice to hear from her. She is thankful for all your prayers and support. Continue to pray for tracy and her team as they start a VBS in Takum this week. Pray for the same success as the VBS in Mkar.

If your interested in looking at a map to see exactly where tracy is, I found this website useful http://www.maplandia.com/nigeria/taraba/takum/takum/

Tracy, it was so nice to hear from you on your birthday. I missed spending the day with you at the parade, pool, and fireworks. Jeff even ditched me at the parade :) I still made birthday brownies for you, but it sounds like your mud cake might top my brownies. Hope you had a wonderful day and good luck with the VBS this week.

Well, Tracy, here I am finally leaving a comment. I've checked in on your site a couple of times and it sounds like you are having an experience to last you a life time. I've also been praying for your success and health and safe travel. I look forward to hearing more about your VBS experiences. I'm certain God is using your love for Him to fill others. As a Christian, I thank you for doing all that you are doing in His name!
Hugs and love

Dear Tracy, As per usual your grandma is a few days late! Your card will likely also be late, but we thought about you often on July 4, and yes, everyday. We spent the 4th at the cabin and saw fireworks at Falmouth. U. Bob & a. Nancy were with us. U. Don & a. Nelvah will be spending a few days with at the cabin July 14-17. Our love and prayers are with you and just know that God will bless the work you are doing because of your love for Him. Gramps and Gram

Happy (Belated) Birthday, Tracy! This is my 2nd post, but Lindsey said that my first one never showed up. Sorry about that! Anyway, just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know that God is going to do miraculous things both in you and through you. I can't wait to hear some of the stories when you get back.
Lots of Love,
Kim Roon
